I do feel I am a Thailand expert as I have travelled there 26 times so far and I truly love it as a tourist and as a business destination. I have attended several international congresses there, from UFI Congress 2004, to ICCA Congress 2007 to also many smaller events. And all ran smoothly, all connect local traditions with the business; events offering diverse experiences beyond meeting rooms: local artisan traditions, wellness, gastronomy, etc.


I attended IMEX Frankfurt 2026 to get the latest updates of destinations, venues and hotels and to keep my worldwide network up to date.

During those days at IMEX Frankfurt 2026, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) unveiled “MaxiMICE Thailand – From Potential to Exponential,” a new Thailand MICE brand reinforcing the country’s position as a premier destination for business events and for advancing global agendas. It is designed to transform events into exponential opportunities that generate lasting value and meaningful impact for organisers, delegates, and industries worldwide.

MaxiMICE Thailand is driven by the Meet in Thailand promotional campaign, which is built around three strategic dimensions of event success: Meet Well, Meet Smart, and Meet Positive. These pillars are designed to address the evolving needs of three key stakeholder groups – meeting planners, MICE visitors, and professional conference organisers-. Support is provided through both financial assistance and in-kind benefits.
Supawan Teerarat, President TCEB, said the launch of MaxiMICE Thailand is intended to enhance delegates’ quality of life through meaningful and high-quality MICE experiences.
The initiative reflects TCEB’s vision of positioning Thailand as Global Asia’s platform for impactful and sustainable events focused on key global agendas, including energy, finance, wellness and longevity, DEI, sustainability, and food security. These priorities are becoming increasingly significant in today’s complex economic and social environment.
The brand is built on three strategic pillars: MaxiMICE Your Convenience, MaxiMICE Your Experience, and MaxiMICE Your Impact. Together, these pillars showcase Thailand’s ability to deliver connected, seamless, future-ready, and people-centric experiences by leveraging the country’s strengths in infrastructure, creativity, and support networks to create more impactful business events and drive exceptional outcomes.
